Outlying are very glad to announce that Kevin L. Drolet (Endless Night, ex-Trollheims) just joined the band! Having a complete line-up will definitely solidify the formation and help the creation of intense new stuff.

08/26/08 - Drummer Guy recently decided to leave Outlying. The good side is that a skilled drummer named Steve, who is also a good friend of the band, will fill the empty slot for the moment. However, Steve is a busy musician and he cannot be able to be fully dedicated to the band. Outlying will have to make compromises with his schedule, so Steve will be a session member only, until a good permanent drummer is found.
So, if you play drums and you are interested playing in Outlying, please contact us on outlying.band@gmail.com.
Requirements are quite similar for what was needed for bass players:
- Having decent drum chops (no need to be some kind of drum wizard, but you need enough skill and stamina to be able to be pretty tight and consistent, and to play thrashy beats, fast fills, double-kick parts, blastbeats... )
- Having a good, well-maintained kit (the band got their own drumkit at their room, so you will not have to carry your kit around for rehearsals)
- Being friendly, motivated, open-minded...

The search is over! Bassist Chris showed great potential and interest, as well as being an overall great guy, so he is now welcomed as the new member of Outlying. The band will keep on rehearsing their stuff, and hopefully release their upcoming EP as soon as possible. |

Requirements include:
- Having decent bass chops (Outlying bass parts are mostly pretty straightforward, so you do not need to be some kind of virtuoso, but you need to be able to play tight)
- Having at least one good bass guitar (Having a good amp would be great too, but it's not a problem if you don't have one)
